Council Member Phil Wong is set to host an upcoming OATH@Office event at his Maspeth district office with the NYC Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) on Tuesday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., helping residents navigate the hearing process, answer questions about summonses and access city resources.
At the District 30 office, located at 58-38 69th St., the partnered event aims to assist locals by explaining legal processes, including status checks of violations, and how residents can readily respond to them. Various staff members will also assist with “submitting online defenses, rescheduling hearings, requesting new hearing dates after missed appearances, and explaining what steps are required following a hearing,” according to a press release.
