Several labor unions have endorsed progressive challenger David Orkin in his bid to primary Assembly Member Jenifer Rajkumar in the 38th Assembly District.
Orkin, a member of the New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), launched his campaign to primary Rajkumar in December, immediately picking up endorsements from the DSA and DRUM Beats – an organization of South Asian community members that helped mobilize support for Mayor Zohran Mamdani in last year’s mayoral election.
