Billionaire former Mayor Michael Bloomberg is backing Assembly Member Micah Lasher in the crowded Democratic primary to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler, giving Lasher another heavyweight endorsement as the Manhattan Congressional contest begins to take shape.
In a statement released Thursday, Bloomberg praised Lasher as a tested government hand and urged voters to support him in the June primary.
