Mayor Zohran Mamdani has appointed Faiza Ali as commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) — bringing into his administration a long-time ally and a City Council veteran to lead the office at a critical moment for immigrant New Yorkers.
Mamdani also announced Tuesday that another political ally, Ana María Archila, will serve as commissioner of the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs.
