Schumer and Gillibrand secure over $22 million in federal funding for the Bronx

U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced more than $22 million in federal funding for Bronx projects as part of the fiscal year 2026 spending package signed into law on Tuesday.

The funding was secured through congressionally directed spending, which allows lawmakers to request federal dollars to finance community projects. The approved funding, totaling $22,371,000, will support a wide range of investments across the borough, including food distribution, affordable housing development, infrastructure repairs, and internet access.
