FIRST ON amNY: Stringer releases plan to build 20,000 affordable homes in 5 years as he officially launches mayoral bid

As he officially launched his campaign for mayor on Thursday, former city Comptroller Scott Stringer released a plan he says will generate an estimated 20,000 new affordable homes over five years.

Stringer shared the details of his plan with amNewYork Metro ahead of its Thursday release.
