Nassau County Legislator Josh Lafazan (D-Woodbury), who quickly became known for his attacks on embattled Rep. George Santos, lost his re-election bid to the Legislature on Tuesday night as Republicans maintained their majority.
Lafazan was the only incumbent to lose his re-election bid after Nassau’s legislative districts were recently redrawn. He lost by a margin of 58% to 42%, according to the Nassau County Board of Elections, to challenger Samantha A. Goetz in the 18th legislative district
