Republican Candidate Kevin Surdi is an ER nurse who is taking a break from nursing to start a career in politics. Surdi is running in the 6th Assembly District against incumbent Philip Ramos and intends to bring the focus of the Assembly back to serving the community.
Upon arrival in Albany, Surdi’s first step will be to work on ways to decrease crime. This is includes more than just repealing Bail Reform, but also addressing the multitude of pro-criminal, anti-family bills that have worked to increase crime and decrease safety throughout New York. A resident of Suffolk county, Surdi is personally motivated to fight to lower taxes while in Albany as he has seen the effects of the increase of cost of living throughout New York first hand.
