State Sen. Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach) announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election or run for any other office this year, three months after an unsuccessful bid for Nassau County District Attorney.
The representative for District 9 of the New York State Senate will now be voted on without an incumbent candidate this year. Kaminsky lost in the November 2021 election for district attorney to Republican Anne Donnelly.
