Gabriela Sandoval Requena is the Senior Policy Analyst at New Destiny Housing Corporation, a nonprofit org with a mission to end the cycle of violence for low-income families and individuals at risk of homelessness and domestic violence by connecting them to safe, permanent housing and services.

Learn how the pandemic put more families at risk, and what Gabriela is working on to empower those that she serves – specifically – the advocacy and legislation she hopes to share in 2022 with a new Governor and Mayor at the helm in NY.

Behind the Curtain is a daily video interview series where Skye Ostreicher speaks candidly with community leaders and elected officials in order to get a sense of who they are as people.
