NYS Commissioner of the Office of Mental Health, Dr. Ann Sullivan, is one of Schneps Media x PoliticsNY’s Healthcare Power Leaders. Mental health has been a hot topic since the pandemic, and the statistics prove it: half (if not all!) people are impacted by mental health.
Meet Dr. Sullivan and learn about the services offered by her office, including a major development – coming to New Yorkers in July 2022 – we will have a mental health crisis hotline. For mental health emergencies, instead of dialing 911, New Yorkers will be able to dial: 9-8-8
Hear Dr. Sullivan’s take on mental health, homelessness, and even Mayor de Blasio’s new injection sites that have opened up throughout New York City. How do we deal with mental health, and how can government cooperate with the demand of advocacy groups to advance a healthy NY for all.
FYI: FREE mental health services are available right now to all New Yorkers through New York Project Hope: https://nyprojecthope.org/
Dr. Sullivan received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Psychiatrists, a Fellow of the NY Academy of Medicine and on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of New York City.
