Man shot dead near Cuomo’s press conference on gun violence

Hours after Gov. Andrew Cuomo gathered in Flatbush for a pair of press conferences on combating gun violence on Wednesday, a shooter gunned down a 21-year-old man just a mile away.

Officers rushed to the scene at the corner of Clarkson Avenue and E. 53rd Street at around 2:30 pm on July 14, where they found Brooklynite Pierrot Simeon with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and left forearm.
