Reynoso to Hold Hearing on City’s Snow Plan
Councilmember Antonio Reynoso (D-Ridgewood and parts of Brooklyn), Chair of the Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management, and the committee are holding an oversight hearing on Thursday on the New York City Department of Sanitation’s 2020-2021 snow plan.

The remote hearing will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. in Virtual Room 2. Virtual Room 2.
Adams to Hold Hearing on Land Use
Councilmember Adrienne Adams (D-Jamaica, Richmond Hill, Rochdale Village, South Ozone Park), Chair of the Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings and Dispositions, and the subcommittee will hold a hearing on several items on Thursday.
The committee will discuss two land use applications, one for a property in Queens. See the agenda for more details.
The virtual hearing will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. in Virtual Room 1.
Meng Issues Statement on Election Night
Congresswoman Grace Meng (D-Bayside, Flushing, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, Glendale, Kew Gardens, Maspeth, Middle Village, Rego Park) issued the following statement regarding Tuesday’s elections:
“I thank the voters of the 6th District for once again selecting me to be their voice in Washington. I am deeply honored and humbled by the overwhelming show of support, and the trust and confidence that my constituents continue to have in me.
These are very challenging times for our nation. There is much work that needs to be done and many issues that need to be addressed. We must continue to do everything possible to combat COVID-19 and get our economy back on track, and I remain committed to doing all I can to achieve these vital goals.
I will also continue to fight tirelessly for those I am privileged to represent. I will continue working to pave the way for a better future for our country and make Queens an even better place for our borough’s working families.
I thank my wonderful and dedicated team, all of our hard-working volunteers, and the many Queens residents who made their voices heard at the ballot box.
In the Presidential race, we continue to watch the election returns come in from across the nation. With a record number of mail-in ballots, it is critical that every vote is counted, and I remain hopeful of a Biden-Harris victory.”
Holden to Tour Local Businesses
Councilmember Robert Holden (D-Glendale, Maspeth, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Woodhaven, Woodside) will tour local businesses with Councilmember Mark Gjonaj (D-Bronx), Small Business Chair, and SBS Commissioner Jonnel Doris on Thursday.
They will speak with local business owners about their issues and concerns.
The tour will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. They will start at 68-47 Fresh Pond Road and move north toward Metropolitan Avenue.
