There are few Brooklyn lawmakers as passionate as Assemblyman Bill Colton (D-Bensonhurst, Bath Beach), particularly when it comes his opposition to the building of the Southwest Brooklyn Marine Waste Transfer Station or any other environmental concerns in the district or surrounding neighborhoods.
Colton’s advocacy on issues relating to the pollution and environment of Gravesend Bay has been second to none. That’s why the recent revelation this week of the Oil Spill Dumping 27,000 Gallons diesel fuel oil in Gravesend Bay has garnered such concern of not just Colton, bust a good many of the City, Borough and local lawmakers.
