Following the November 4 reorganization meeting of the Brooklyn Republican Party, and with last week’s Election Day settled, Republican colleagues from throughout New York congratulated newly elected Party Chairman Theodore Ghorra, Esq.

The comments signal, that perhaps Brooklyn’s Republican Party, which has been decimated by Party infighting the last few years, may be up to the task of competing in several citywide elections next year

“Congratulations to Ted Ghorra on his newly-elected position as Chairman of the Kings County Republican Committee. Ted is a strong leader whose skills will be critical as we head into an important election year to defeat ultra-liberal Mayor Bill de Blasio. The State Party looks forward to working closely with him and the Committee to grow our grassroots army and elect Republican candidates across the ballot,” said New York State Republican Chairman Ed Cox.

“I congratulate Ted Ghorra on his election as Chairman of the Kings County GOP. With the election of Donald Trump and continued Republican/Conservative control of the New York State Senate, our two parties can look forward to a bright future,” said New York State Conservative Chairman Mike Long.

“Congratulations to Ted Ghorra on his new position as the Chairman of the Brooklyn Republicans. Brooklyn has a long history electing outstanding Republican leaders, and I’m so grateful for the support of the Committee who just helped me win the Brooklyn portion of the 11th congressional district –  the first time a Republican has done that in more than a decade. I look forward to working with Chairman Ghorra and helping to build a strong, vibrant Republican Party,” said Congressman Dan Donovan (Southwest Brooklyn, Staten Island).

“I am proud to have Chairman Ghorra as the new leader of the Kings County GOP. Ted has all the key attributes of a strong leader and I am confident he will unify the Republican Party here in Brooklyn. With the historic election of President-elect Trump and Republican wins across the country there is a renewed energy in our party. I look forward to building on this momentum by working with Chairman Ghorra to strengthen the Kings County Republican Party so we can continue to win key elections to ensure a better future for our State and City,” said State Senator Marty Golden (Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach, Gravesend and parts of Sheepshead Bay, Borough Park and Midwood).

“I look forward to working with Ted to increase voter registration, grow our party and elect more republicans across the borough. He is young, energetic, and will make a great leader,” said State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (Bay Ridge, Staten Island).

“Congratulations to Ted Ghorra on his newly elected position as Chairman of the Kings County Republican Committee.  I look forward to working with him to build a strong Republican Party in New York City by increasing registration and electing more accomplished public officials.  With his leadership it will be easier for us to unite behind the mission of making Bill de Blasio a one-term Mayor,” said Manhattan Republicans Chairwoman Adele Malpass.

“It’s good that we finally have a Chairman for Kings County. Now that we have a Republican President-elect, it’s imperative that we have a strong united citywide Republican Party so that we can present a united front as we take on our next important battle electing a Republican Mayor,” said Staten Island Republicans Chairman John Antoniello.
