Last night on the House floor, Central Brooklyn Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, a member of the House Judiciary Committee and Whip of the Congressional Black Caucus, assailed the Chicago Police Department’s blue wall of silence and demanded swift accountability for all involved in the death of Laquan McDonald, an unarmed 17-year-old boy who was shot 16 times by a Chicago police officer.
