2022 Primary Election Debate: State Senate District 59

Elizabeth Crowley, Kristen Gonzalez, Michael Corbett and Nomiki Konst participated in PoliticsNY’s Democratic primary debate in the race to represent the newly created District 59 that includes sections in four of the five boroughs. Moderated by Jane Hanson and Stephen Witt, the winner will be decided in the upcoming August 23rd Democratic primary election, and without a Republican challenger, will most likely win the seat. This is a newly created senate district that encompasses neighborhoods in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn including Astoria, Long Island City, Greenpoint, Kips Bay and Tudor City.
