Brooklyn Dems promote unity, progress at SOMOS

The Brooklyn Democratic Party said on Monday that it held a successful “get together” over the weekend at the annual SOMOS conference in Puerto Rico.

“We are all one,” proclaimed Party Chair Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn, the daughter of Haitian immigrants, as a broad coalition of prominent Democratic leaders gathered to discuss party unity and building back New York City better.

In attendance at the Brooklyn Dems’ “Sips in Somos” conference were Gov. Kathy Hochul; Mayor-elect Eric Adams; NY Attorney General Letitia James; Mayor Bill de Blasio; US Sen. Chuck Schumer; Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzales; NYS Assembly Majority Leader Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes; Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Ingrid Lewis; Brooklyn Dems Law Chair Frank Carone; all five borough Democratic chairs (Bichotte Hermelyn, Gregory Meeks, Jamaal Bailey, Michael Cusick and Keith Wright); among other prominent Democratic leaders and activists.
